06/13/12 - TRIGUN MAXIMUM OMNIBUS -- Is this new manga?
TIL that omnibus means a collection of previously published material. I saw that something called Trigun Maximum Omnibus is being published by Dark Horse. Is this new manga? NO. It is a collection of Trigun Maximum volumes 1-3. Having said that, if you haven't yet purchased Trigun manga or taken advantage of Things From Another World's nick and dent sale pricing over the last few years, this is definitely an economical way to own these volumes. This first one is over 500 pages long and will get you from recovering Vash after the Fifth Moon Incident to the epic conclusion to the fight on board the SEEDS ship. Plus, with each volume originally sold for around $10, buying this 3-in-1 volume at $19.99 is quite the savings. But yeah...it's not new manga, so don't go out buying it expecting new material if you've already got the series. THAT IS ALL!
01/03/12 - NEW TRIGUN MANGA ANTHOLOGY!!!
HAPPY 2012! Hope everyone is looking forward to the coming year with excitement!
Anyway...when the movie came out in Japan, Nightow released a two-part story about Vash and his dealings with the Dodongo Brothers (if you have seen the movie, this is very briefly touched upon at the very end of the movie). I don't know if these will ever make it state-side, but it looks like they're being compiled into an anthology in Japan with some one-shot stories by other artists that deal with aspects of the Trigun Universe. There's more information about it here. I've read a few of the one-shots by the different artists, and they're OKAY, but it's more like reading Trigun fanfiction than an actual story about the characters of Trigun. The one by Nightow, however, is pretty good and deals directly with the issues raised in the movie, so if you haven't read it yet, you can check out a scanlation of it at MangaFox.
09/27/11 - TRIGUN MOVIE COMES OUT TODAY!!!
So...there's this Trigun movie, and it's out today. I'm so super excited about this, I had to post an update! Hope the notes are still helping everybody who uses the site!

Another update. The mobile version of this website is up and running, so you can now access this site with your phone! Of course, I am not sure if it is awesome or not. 10/31/10 - Trigun Anime Series Is Streaming on ANN FUNimation's Youtube Channel and Netflix
Hello everybody and Happy Halloween! I realize this website is primarily concerned with Trigun the manga, but Trigun the anime (subtitled version) is currently being streamed on Anime News Network here. Check it out or expose your unsuspecting friends! (UPDATE: ANN is no longer streaming Trigun, but Funimation is streaming the SUB and the first 4 episodes of the DUB on their Youtube Trigun Channel and Netflix is streaming the entire series DUB on their site.)

In slightly related Trigun news, Dark Horse will be publishing Nightow's manga "Bloodline Battle Front." I've read the first 3 or 4 chapters and it was interesting. More news here.

Happy New Year! The beginning of the saga is complete! Working on Trigun Maximum Volumes 11-14. I can't believe I've almost got these things finished... 08/04/09 - Trigun Maximum Volume 4 COMPLETE and POSTED. Trigun Maximum Volume 5 REPOSTED.
Yay for summer break! Trimax vol 4 is up. Also, I was rereading my old notes and I missed quite a bit of stuff on my first set of notes, so I'm updating them as well. Trimax vol 5 is totally updated. The fight sequences with Hoppard and Midvalley AND the final standoff make a whole lot more sense now. 08/03/09 - Trigun Maximum Volume 2 and 3 COMPLETE and POSTED.
Wolfwood's battle with GREY the NINELIVES and Vash's battle with LEONOV the PUPPETMASTER make a whole lot more sense now...I also updated some of the fight scene with Keele in TriMax vol 1. 08/02/09 - Trigun Maximum Volume 2 Chapters 1-4 POSTED IN FORUM.
Anyone who has ever wondered what the hell is going on when Vash fights Raidei...well...this should help. I got to thinking that there is really nothing abridged about these notes... :) 08/01/09 - I'm alive! And I will post updates shortly! In the meantime, if you have any questions, clarifications, or requests for specific chapters/panels, post them at the Trigun Abridged Manga Forum! WHY DO I NEED TO READ THIS PAGE? Trigun is hard to read. I've let friends borrow my volumes and on more than one occasion, they've handed them back to me with confused looks on their faces. They always ask the same thing: what did I just see? Hopefully this page will answer these questions. I am posting my notes from all the chapters on this site. My primary focus is on untangling the complex, exciting, and often incredibly confusing action sequences. If you've got a volume in front of you and you can't make out exactly what's going on, this is the right place. Sumeragi's website has some good summaries that cover the earlier volumes. Also, Ricki's Trigun Planet is probably the best Trigun webpage in existence, and it's always current. Everyone should go there and bookmark it and then go again, like, every week.
