Chapter 1
A shot of Chapel and TRI-P of DEATH, which I am assuming is a flashback Legato is having. Chapel is stating that if they flush Wolfwood out, they'll find Vash.
Back on the Ark, Legato is in a sarcophagus surrounded by medical equipment. Elandira is standing over him.
Zazie is there as well. Elandira and Zazie converse.
The ship begins to move faster. There is an external shot of the ship with Knives standing at the helm.
Knives looks serious. He's traveling towards a city...
The same city Livio and Vash are heading towards.
Brad intercepts Vash and Livio. At first, Brad is dead-set against taking Livio with them, but after punching him in the face, Brad lets him come with.
Brad informs Vash of the plan to use the last ion blaster against the Ark, but at the last moment, all energy disappears. The humans have not realized the plants have a will and have chosen to rebel against the humans.
The plant angels ascend to join the ark.
Meanwhile, in space, someone is coming out of warp speed...
Chapter 2
Ships emerge from warp speed
Meanwhile back on Gunsmoke, the remaining population of the planet has amassed in Octovern
With Brad's ship flying overhead, Luida encounters 3 guys in suits. One guy is the mayor.
A meeting with a ton of important people. Luida wants everyone to hold off on attacking. The head military guy sees things differently and walks out on the meeting.
Meanwhile, somewhere else in the city, Meryl is looking thoughtful.
A soldier gives her a hard time and when he turns around, she flicks him off with both hands
She is watching the people below. Milly joins her.
Meryl and Milly reminisce about the good old days in the Outer with Vash and Friends
JUST THEN, AN EXPLOSION GOES OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY!
This guy Feemer is flipping out from the stress of the situation
His “sister” tries to talk him down to no avail
Soldiers gather around him
Instead of backing off, he FIRES AT THEM! which results in ANOTHER EXPLOSION!
Meryl and Milly freak out...
But just then, they see VASH SWINGING FROM A LADDER WHICH IS SUSPENDED FROM BRAD'S SHIP!
The girls are in disbelief
Vash jumps and lands on the ground in front of Feemer
Feemer fires again, just as Vash is firing
Vash's bullet hits Feemer's, and somehow causes it to disappear!
The soldiers rush Feemer and tackle him as Vash walks away wearily
Meryl and Milly run to where he is
Vash is surprised!
The girls start crying
Meanwhile, the spaceships continue to approach Gunsmoke
The spaceships broadcast a message all over Gunsmoke
Everyone is shocked
But Knives and the Ark are ready.
Chapter 3
The people are freaking out with optimism.
The suits call for Luida
Vash, Meryl, and Milly swing from Brad's ship's ladder
Vash is excited at the prospect of the ships coming in
They get to the ship hangar and are received by Luida
Lots of conversation.
Meanwhile, as the Ark approaches, it has amassed so much energy that it is destroying buildings on the ground as it passes just because it's so kick-ass.
The energy causes boulders to float around and windows to shatter
The sandworms watch as the Ark gets stronger
Luida arrives and there is discussion of what is to be done
Meryl and Milly return Vash's belongings to him. Among them is the case he got from Legato. Meryl and Milly have filled in coins as they found them.
Livio washes his face. He and Brad have a heart-to-heart.
The head of the military does not like the idea of holding off on attacking.
Marlon brings Vash more ammo. He and Vash have a heart-to-heart.
Meanwhile, out in the desert there is a massive explosion. When the dust settles, we see a fully functional Legato and a dead Zazie...
Chapter 4
37 minutes before the explosion:
Zazie is carried by a HUGE butterfly and approaches Knives from above
Zazie and Knives discuss their relationship with one another
Meanwhile, Elandira looks STRICKEN.
She falls to her knees
One of Zazie's insect friends has paralyzed her
Legato is still in his sarcophagus
Back to Zazie and Knives. Knives is unconscious.
Zazie unzips her pants...
AND PULLS OUT A CREEPY AND DANGEROUS LOOKING WORM! GROSS!
She leans over and is about to drop the worm into Knives' ear when...
HER ARM IS SUDDENLY TWISTED PAINFULLY BEHIND HER!
Legato controlled Zazie's arm with an almost invisible thin piece of wire
Legato forces Zazie to draw her weapon and aims it at her head
But just in the nick of time, one of Zazie's insect friends severs the wire and Zazie can dodge the shot
Zazie realizes that the poison has not worked on Legato.
Cut to Elandira looking at the now empty sarcophagus
Legato appears to be moving by sheer will power alone. He has regained control over his body despite the fact that his spine had been crushed by Knives
Wires surround every single insect friend,
and then BAM! They're all dead
Legato does some fancy footwork and dodges Zazie's attacks easily
In the meantime, Knives' body has been negating the paralysis poison. Knives becomes aware of the situation...
Suddenly there is a MASSIVE EXPLOSION!
Back on the roof, Vash sees the explosion.
He appears to be taking empty shells and filling them with special bark-like bullets. He lines them up.
Livio scares the bajesus out of Vash
Livio gives Vash 2 coins. Vash is now only missing one.
Suddenly this disco guy shows up and places the last remaining coin in the case.
Chapter 5
Conversation on approaching spaceship: there are independent plants on earth! Discussion of plants and stuff.
Back on the roof, the disco guy comes to and pulls an awfully long worm out of his mouth. Zazie (or whoever) was controlling him through this worm
Vash places the last of the coins in the case. When he closes the case, a panel snaps off and reveals a switch. Vash pushes it, much to Livio's chagrin. The case puts Vash in direct contact with Legato
Livio and Vash have a long discussion.
The Ark makes its way closer to the city.
Vash goes to a restricted area where he gets yelled at by the mayor
Luida storms in. She has been looking for Vash
Philosophical discussion about plants
Vash gets to an elevator. He shakes hands with Brad. He has a moment with Meryl. Then he goes up.
The mayor announces that all attacks on the ark are forbidden
There is an army guy who does not seem too happy
The crew on the spaceship assess the situation
And at the same time, Livio encounters Elandira
Chapter 6
Flashback to Livio saving Jasmine at the orphanage
Back in the present, the battle with Elandira begins. Elandira's nails aren't actually coming from the gun... they're apparently coming from somewhere else...above...
Suddenly, Elandira lunges and gets past Livio's defenses
Elandira brings up Wolfwood and Livio gets pissed, starts attacking.
Livio gets thrown through the wall, and goes FLYING across the street
People in the street stare up and watch as he flies past
Then nails fall to the ground as well
Elandira watches the hole created by Livio. Talks to herself
A bullet grazes Elandira's cheek
Livio emerges!
But soon, Elandira shoots Livio full of nails! Onlookers gawk!
Elandira assumes Livio to be dead and reveals that she has a key to a nuclear bomb which she will deploy in the event that Knives' plan fails.
She tells some kids to bury Livio
The kids approach Livio, but he yells for them to stay back, then he has a one-sided conversation with them
Livio coughs up blood and scares the kids to death, then pulls all the nails out of his body
A girl shows up to claim the children. Livio is shocked when he realizes that she is Jasmine from the orphanage
She gives him her cloak and one of the little kids gives him his hat
Then he walks away and looks up to see the Ark approaching.
